Get your shit together and run the house!

Let’s face it, its hard to be the one “On Duty” with little people all day. Its even harder, in my opinion, to do that AND run the house (i.e. groceries, cooking, cleaning, gardening, being a good spouse, planning, organizing, budgeting” .
Up until recently I was barely hanging on by a thread, and only when I had my third little critter was I thrust into the world of having my shit together. Sure, before I could whip a dinner together and made it to our activities on time but I wasn’t consistent and wasn’t always finding joy in it. After having the third baby, I had a mini-meltdown and realized if I was going to ever leave my house and have a life I needed to get my head in the game.

My love/hate dilemma with MLM “opportunities” to earn residual income

Multi-level marketing seems to be all the rage these days. Stay at home parents are making a living off posting on social media about products they are now using. If you have no idea what I’m talking about, then head over to your Facebook or Instagram feed and let me know how many posts you are seeing with things like: before and after photos using Rodan + Fields skin care, or the many uses of Young Living Essential Oils or Beach Body 30 day challenges or the Plexus “pink drink” slimming supplements or 31 Gifts or Juice Plus whole food vitamins or (fill in the blank here). If you still have no idea what I’m talking about then your friends just haven’t started selling something yet.

It’s taken me a few trys to figure out how to rock it as a full time mama and recently I feel like I got a really good groove going! My little one is 18months old and I finally feel like I have a sidekick! She is super interactive, observant and full of life and it is so contagious. We have conversations now. She knows how to make me laugh. She has opinions and makes decisions. It’s really fun. On top of that we are super busy. Alot of my interactions with Mamas consist of swapping advice about our “jobs”. I love hearing about other people’s schedules and routines and in turn love to share mine (especially now that I have it dialed in).

How to re-discover your purpose!

Have you heard of the concept of Dharma? It’s the idea that we all have a purpose in life and our job is to figure it out and live it. I’ve over-simplified it for you- but for a deeper reading check out Deepok Chopra’s The Law of Dharma.

“Everyone has a purpose in life . . . a unique gift or special talent to give to others. And when we blend this unique talent with service to others, we experience the ecstasy and exultation of our own spirit, which is the ultimate goal of all goals.”-Deepok Chopra
