YES! I am so happy you are here to find out more about essential oils. I started using essential oils when I was pregnant with Everly (my first baby). I love anything wellness related and once I was introduced to the benefits of oils I was HOOKED. You do not need to be an expert to start using these oils and seeing the incredible support they provide from a mental, emotional and physical standpoint.
What are Essential Oils?
Essential oils are found in plants: in the seeds, bark, stems, roots, flowers, and other parts of plants. This oil or “life force” is what protects the plant and keeps it healthy. Essential oils are extracted from the plant at the height of potency through careful steam distillation, resin tapping, and cold pressing. The purest essential oils are far more powerful than the botanical from which they come.
How do you use them?
Using essential oils is whatever you want it to be! I’m constantly learning new ways to incorporate the healing power of these oils , it’s such a fun journey!!
I use them as non-toxic household cleaners, remedies for cold+flu season, support for sore muscles, adding flavor + spice to cooking, inspiration/motivation during stressful mama moments, support for sleep, supporting healthy immune systems, as a tool to reconnect with Aaron after a long day (massages) and even with our pup Piper to calm her during thunderstorms and car rides! If you are at all curious about how to incorporate these little bottles of nature’s magic into your wellness routine I would love for your to join our community of happy oily customers!
I love knowing that there is nothing more natural and that they don’t come with horrible side effects and long term dangers like many other toxic options that are sold in stores. You can use them to make creams and sprays (hand purifying sprays, bug sprays, sleep sprays, ouch creams, stress creams… you name it) which make them just as convenient as using what we were already using.
What’s the difference between Young Living essential oils and other brands?
The quality of Young Living oils is what sets them apart and enables us to use them for therapeutic purposes… they have been making oils for 20+ years and have set the standard in the industry for purity, quality and safety, You will not find any additives or fillers in these oils which make them potent and able to support the body’s own natural healing (as nature intended). They are the ONLY essential oils company with a Seed to Seal commitment to quality, purity and sustainable environmental practices! You can read more about Young Living’s commitment to environmental stewardship and the purest essential oils in their Seed to Seal process here.
Awesome! I want to get my hands on these oils, what’s the best way to start??
The best way to get started (how I got started) is to get the Premium Starter Kit with the 11 most popular oils and a diffuser (the “Rainstone” diffuser is my favorite).
OPTION ONE// Wholesale Customer// ( click here) – recommended
- No renewal fee; simply purchase a minimum of $50pv of product per year and your account stays active
- No order minimum – order whenever you like, as often as you like at 24% off retail prices
- Although Young Living calls their wholesale customers “Distributors” this does NOT mean that you are signing up to sell oils and there is absolutely no pressure to do so – ever.
- Member number to share with friends; if they order using your member number, you’ll receive compensation (but, again, enrolling as a “Distributor” does NOT mean that you have to share oils with anyone; although, once you discover how wonderful they are, it will be hard not to tell your friends!)
OPTION TWO//Retail Customer// (click here)
- No starter kit required.
- Order products whenever you would like (but pay 24% more than a wholesale customer).
I love that these are both options because it makes it all about the products without any pressure whatsoever to “share” oils. However, I doubt you would regret enrolling as a wholesale customer (“Distributor”). The Starter Kit investment is very quickly recovered with the savings off of retail pricing.
